Spring Vacation

For the past 2 weeks we have been on Spring break and it has been amazing! We did whatever we wanted whenever we wanted and it has been so much fun. We both did our own thing, Natalie went and stayed in Jerusalem where her family and friends live, which was incredible to be with them for so long, and Amanda went on a backpacking trip to Germany and Switzerland with a close friend of ours (Talya).

I (Amanda) had one of the best experiences of my life, really. My friend (Talya) and I started in Berlin and made our way down to Dresden, then Munich, then somewhere in the country side of Bavaria, down to Zurich, and back up again to Berlin. The whole trip was filled with excitement, new discoveries, cool people, good food, and so much more. I will remember this trip for the rest of my life and it holds a very special place in my heart, thank you Talya for being such a wonderful travel partner!

  3. Spring break was very special for me as well. That was a huge learning experience and I could not have asked to share it with a better friend & travel partner. I learned a lot about myself, Amanda ( as we joked, after these couple of weeks we could write a book about one another) , responsibility, and human beings in general. The fact that the only 'pre-planned' factor of our journey was the first hostel in Berlin for 3 nights and everything else was done in an pretty spontaneous impromptu manner, it made it all the more exciting. As fun as traveling in this manner is, with a whole country as your playground, it is also a challenge. It is a type of hobby that can be frightening as much as it can be fulfilling. It is a chance to immerse yourself in a completely new surrounding and thus be able to discover qualities about yourself that could not have been revealed in an ordinary or safe setting. Although 15 days were all we had this time, it definitely felt like double the amount of time, in the best possible way. As Amanda joked with me on our trip saying, " You know that saying that time flies when you're having fun? Well it's not true at all" <3 Cheers to more experiences like this to come
